MGM Energy is a contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, energy conservation, and electrical services. We also participate in the Energy Saving Assistance Program sponsored by Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric.
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Technician II to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC service and repair, along with the skills to diagnose and troubleshoot various HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician II will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems while providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
- Service and Repair for Residential Heating and Air Conditioning Systems.
- Inspect and test systems to ensure compliance with plans and specifications while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Perform system maintenance, tune-ups, and inspections to guarantee optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical components, refrigerant levels, and airflow.
- Braze, run low-voltage wiring, charge refrigerant, and check pressures.
- Replace compressors and fan motors as necessary.
- Access and navigate building automation control systems through front-end computer terminals
- Manage alarms, reset systems, and adjust parameters on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Interpret schematics effectively.
- Report to appointments on time, fully prepared.
- Maintain accurate customer records, including files, forms, and paperwork.
- Stay informed about program requirements and standards.
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives.
- Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the HVAC Supervisor.
- Uphold a professional image of the company while on duty.
- Perform additional duties and tasks assigned by the HVAC Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and successfully pass Title 24 inspections by local jurisdictions.
- Must have an active California Driver’s License
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience installing HVAC appliances.
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Solid math skills
- Must have EPA Certification or 2 years of trade experience
- Bilingual is a Plus
- NATE Certification is a plus
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a 7-year criminal background check
Pay: $23.00-26.00 per hour, or depending on experience
