Under general maintenance supervision, the HVAC technician performs repairs, services, and installations for all AC & heating needs as effectively and economically as possible while being consistent with plant policies, practices and procedures. The person in this position will constantly drive to minimize overall maintenance costs. This teammate will need the ability to work in a team setting or independently on projects that will ensure the division reaches its goals.
- Knows, understands, and follows all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.
- Installing new ventilations, heating, and air condition systems
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
- Inspect, adjust, and repair systems and performing services
- Preform emergency repair request promptly and efficiently
- Knowledgeable at reading technical data such as pressure and temperature
- Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Adheres to all appliance standards including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and HVAC codes
- Input information in maintenance tracking system (SAP PM)
- Hi gh s chool diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience
- Good knowledge of local codes and standards
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in tough environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise, & dust), lift 50 Lbs. and withstand heights of up to 500 feet.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card
