Deeply Rooted Mechanical is currently seeking a highly motivated HVAC Superintendent (specializing in sheet metal installation) to join our small, but growing team. Superintendent – Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Manpower Scheduling:
o Schedule and assign work to foremen, apprentices, and service technicians based on project requirements.
o Coordinate daily and weekly work schedules of construction team (on Microsoft Calendar or other future scheduling programs)
2. Collaboration with General Contractor:
o Work closely with the general contractor’s superintendent to coordinate work within the overall project schedule.
3. Material Ordering and Management:
o Order materials and equipment required for the project, ensuring they are delivered on time.
o Maintain accurate records of materials received, used, and remaining inventory.
4. Draw and Review Cutsheets for Sheet Metal Installation:
o Review measurements and specifications to verify cutsheets are correct.
o Train apprentices and foreman in the art of ductwork fabrication and drawing
5. Supervision and Leadership:
o Ensure employees arrive at the jobsite on time. Gather timesheets and verify all hours are correct.
o Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and support to foreman and apprentices
o Conduct performance and hiring evaluations with ownership and provide feedback to improve team efficiency.
6. Project Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of project progress, including work completed, material usage, and personnel time.
o Utilize Microsoft One Drive to access all project documents remotely
7. Safety Management:
o Enforce and promote a culture of safety among HVAC personnel.
o Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure that workers are trained in proper safety procedures.
8. Working Superintendent:
o As the company is currently small, in field work will be required until construction teams (apprentices and foreman) reach a point that a full time, non-working manager Is needed.
9. Continual Improvement:
o Work with ownership to develop more efficient processes, procedures and standards that align with company core values.
Skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (Email), One Drive (Document Filing System), Word, Excel, & Other Microsoft projects
•Strong planning & communication abilities
•Familiarity with driving an enclosed trailer
•Drawing ductwork cutsheets for fabrication
•Reading construction drawings & equipment submittals
