Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic’s to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment, specifically for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and HVAC system layouts to ensure accurate and efficient installation. As an HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and shaping sheet metal to create duct systems and other components used in HVAC installations. You will work with a variety of tools and machinery, including hand tools, power tools, and computerized equipment. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a team environment are essential for success in this role. You will often work in commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

· Installing ductwork for new HVAC construction projects

· Repairing existing systems

· Making plans and material estimates for each project

· Testing and examining systems for quality

· Advising less specialized workers on the site

· Fastening metal seams, welding, bolting, creating supportive frameworks, taking measurements and maneuvering material around

· Installing HVAC ducts,

· Working in factories and shops, creating metal sheets and operating the equipment used in the process (for sheet metal workers)

· Putting in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) ducts (for installation sheet metal workers)

Pay Information:

· Start pay $18 with the tools

· 1st Year Apprentice $20.00/hr

· 2nd Year Apprentice $22.00/hr

· 3rd Year Apprentice $24/hr

· 4th Year Apprentice $25/hr

· Apprentice with the ability to weld duct and or measure duct $26.00 - $27.00/hr

· Ability to run jobs with minimal supervision $29.00 - $40.00 /hr

Job Locations:

Lafayette and Lake Charles

(Must be willing to work at both locations)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
