About This Job

Job Description: As an HVAC Service Technician at Schraer Heating and Air Conditioning, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems to ensure the comfort and safety of our clients. You will be responsible for servicing a wide range of heating and cooling equipment, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Perform routine maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.

•

Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.

•

Install new HVAC units and components, following industry standards and manufacturer specifications.

•

Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components to pinpoint and resolve faults.

•

Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance to clients and addressing their questions and concerns.

•

Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.

•

Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and best practices to enhance technical skills.

•

Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies at all times.

•

Participate in on-call rotation for emergency HVAC service.

Qualifications:

•

High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or vocational training is a plus.

•

Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician.

•

EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants.

•

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their components.

•

Proficient in diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling equipment.

•

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

•

Strong customer service and communication abilities.

•

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
