Join us as an HVAC Technician. This position is responsible to perform HVAC and semi-skilled general maintenance. Work will be performed in both vacant and occupied residential and commercial units.
Essential Duties:
•
Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
•
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
•
Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
•
Assisting in the completion of work orders and preventative maintenance as needed.
•
Participating with the on-call responsibilities and assignments
•
Availability for on call duty on a rotational basis which may include occasional overtime shifts
•
Additional duties as assigned
Experience-Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or equivalent
•
One Year of Schooling or equivalent on the job training required
•
Valid Universal CFC Card is a plus
•
EPA universal refrigerant license is a plus
•
Must be capable of lifting/carrying up to 70 pounds. Heavy climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching. Duties usually performed indoors and frequently outdoors in a ari condition
•
Knowledge of standard practices of the HVAC and refrigeration trade
•
Knowledge of HVAC theory and refrigeration systems and applicable building codes
•
Knowledge of county and state and county HVAC and refrigeration ordinances and regulations
•
General knowledge of and skill in a variety of semi-skilled building maintenance and repair practices and techniques
Competencies
•
Demonstrated skill in the use of tools and equipment of the HVAC/ refrigeration trade
•
Demonstrated skill in inspecting and making adjustments, repairs and replacements to units
•
Ability to understand and follow instructions
•
Solid written and verbal communication skills
•
Ability to apply quality and safety standards.
•
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
