Scope

A Refrigeration Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing refrigeration equipment. We deal in both small and large systems, with mechanical and electronic controllers. Skill-set requirements are: setting equipment, installing refrigeration pipe, reading prints and schematics, diagnose control and electrical circuits, and maintaining the refrigeration equipment to specifications.

Duties

•

Set and erect refrigeration equipment and fixtures.

•

Install copper pipping which will include brazing skills.

•

Perform periodic maintenance and cleaning of equipment.

•

Evacuate, charge and starting systems.

•

Familiar with control software and wiring of refrigeration controls.

•

Work with a variety of hand tools, torches, welders, gauges and meters.

•

Maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers.

Qualifications

•

High School Diploma or equivalent.

•

A good understanding of HVAC/R systems and construction industry.

•

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

•

Must be able to pass physical and be in good physical condition. This position can be highly physical and requires employees to regularly lift and move objects under and exceeding 100 lbs.

•

This position will require working in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical rooms with exposure to noisy equipment, extreme weather conditions, and high voltage areas.

•

Experience with operating forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts and ladder training preferred, but not required

Hourly wage and possible signing bonus negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
