HVAC Installer Technician

The Company:

MGM Energy is a contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, energy conservation, and electrical services. We also participate in the Energy Saving Assistance Program sponsored by Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in residential and mobile home HVAC installations, including the installation of forced air units, dual packs, evaporative coils, condensers, split system air handlers, direct vent forced air furnaces, and heat pumps in residential settings.

The HVAC Installer must understand and comply with all program guidelines and county and local codes while installing appliances. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and interpreting schematics as needed.

This is a permanent, full-time position with no seasonal variations.

90% of the job sites are in the High Dessert and Antelope Area.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Complete certification training or any other required training

- Hit production targets daily.

- Have the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

- Install HVAC appliances, such as Dual Packs, Condensors, Evaporative coils, High-Efficient Furnaces, Split Systems, Condensers, and others as needed.

- Performed Duct Tests, Duct Seals, Duct replacements, Static Pressure testing, HERS Testing, Duct Sizing, and Duct air flow assessments when required.

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and handle minor service calls with units.

- Interpret schematics.

- Report to schedule appointments on time and be prepared.

- Have the proper tools to complete the job.

- Maintain accurate customer records, files, forms, and paperwork.

- Stay updated on program requirements and standards.

- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives.

- Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the HVAC Supervisor.

- Responsible for the excellent image of the Company while on company time

- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience installing HVAC appliances.

Requirements:

- Must have an active California Driver’s License

- Must have a clean driving record

- Minimum 2 years of experience as an HVAC Installer

- Must have strong communication skills

- Must have basic computer skills

- EPA Certification is a PLUS

- Spanish speaker is a Plus

- NATE Certification is a plus

- 1-2 years of experience with the ESA Program is a plus.

- Must pass a seven-year background check

- Must pass a drug test.

The Location:

Apple Valley, CA (High Desert and Antelope Valley Area)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am- 4:00 pm

Compensation:

$25.00-32.00 per hour or depending on experience
