We are looking for an experienced HVAC Electrician to install, maintain, and repair the electrical components of commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role combines electrical expertise with a solid understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Install electrical wiring, conduit, panels, and controls for HVAC systems (e.g., rooftop units, chillers, air handlers, VAVs).
•Troubleshoot and repair HVAC control circuits, motors, transformers, and contactors.
•Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC blueprints.
•Test system components using multimeters, amp clamps, and other diagnostic tools.
•Work with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or Direct Digital Controls (DDC).
•Ensure all work is performed to code (NEC, local electrical codes).
•Coordinate with HVAC technicians, pipefitters, and building engineers on job sites.
•Perform preventive maintenance on electrical HVAC systems.
•Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and company procedures.
Qualifications:
•3-5 years of experience as a commercial/industrial electrician, preferably with HVAC experience.
•Strong knowledge of low- and high-voltage systems (120V to 480V).
•Familiarity with motor controls, starters, relays, and VFDs.
•Experience wiring RTUs, split systems, chillers, boilers, and exhaust fans.
•Valid journeyman or master electrician license (if required in your state).
•OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
•Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints.
•Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
