- Provides tactical HR support to manufacturing managers and employees and implements programs/policies/processes.
- Develops relationships with internal business managers/supervisors to partner in decision-making and resolve issues.
- Demonstrates leadership in employee relations. Responsible for coaching managers and employees to continuously improve performance.
- Implements and administers HR programs and processes, including staffing, performance management, training and development, and employee relations.
- Coordinates the employment of hourly employees to include the job posting process, interviewing, and screening.
- Assists in talent acquisition and the recruitment process.
- Conducts employee orientation, assists with onboarding, and help plan training with Workforce Development.
- Ensures compliance with laws and regulations.
- Administers the hourly employee performance management program which includes annual evaluation and disciplinary processes.
- Maintains employee records and documentation to meet Vallourec Standard Operating Procedures, HR’s Standard Operating Procedures, Federal, State, and Local compliance requirements.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Solid knowledge of federal and state employment / labor laws.
- Experience in union avoidance in a large hourly workforce environment.
- Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- A change agent who can implement new programs in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Personable and professional in dealing with employees, corporate management, and cross functional corporate departments.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or comparable field.
- 2+ years exempt level HR experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting preferred.- PHR, SPHR, GPHR certification is preferred.
