Swafford-Kientzy Machine & Fabrication (SKMF) is a family-owned job shop that specializes in one-off custom metal fabrication for a wide range of industries. To support our growing workforce, we are seeking a full-time skilled HR Generalist to manage all HR functions within our growing metal fabrication environment.
The ideal candidate will oversee all HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, benefits, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and payroll process to ensure best practices, efficient operations and compliance with relevant laws and regulations are followed. This role will help contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
· Develop, implement and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
· Manage full-cycle recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
· Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
· Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, assist in resolving workplace conflicts and conduct investigations when necessary.
· Attend and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations to ensure fairness and compliance
· Lead company-wide training sessions on HR policies, workplace culture, and relevant professional development topics
· Monitor employee engagement, morale, and retention trends, making recommendations for improvement
· Stay updated on HR best practices and employment law changes, implementing necessary updates
· Maintain HR records in compliance with labor laws, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
· Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
· 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
