The HR Director will oversee all human resources functions across our store network, Transportation Division, Wholesale Division and corporate operations. This position will play a key role in talent acquisition, employee development, compliance, and workforce planning. The right candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.
Good to Go is a growing chain of convenience stores offering quality products, friendly service, and fuel across Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and strategic HR Director to lead our human resources operations and help continue our company culture, talent strategy, and employee experience.
Responsibilities
•Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and support store operations
•Lead company-wide recruitment and retention efforts for store and corporate roles
•Design and manage onboarding, training, and performance programs
•Build and maintain strong employee relations practices, including coaching and conflict resolution
•Ensure compliance with all employment laws and safety regulations (federal, state, and local)
•Manage benefits administration, payroll coordination, and compensation benchmarking
•Support workforce scheduling, labor forecasting, and operational efficiency
•Provide leadership coaching and guidance to store managers and district supervisors
•Maintain accurate HR metrics and reporting to support decision-making
Qualifications
•7+ years of progressive HR experience, including multi-site retail or service-based businesses
•3+ years in a senior HR leadership role
•Solid understanding of labor law, HR systems, and industry-specific challenges
•Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
•Ability to travel to store locations as needed
