The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible a variety of HR related business activities that are related to the organization’s goals and corporate strategy. This position will be a key point of contact for employees and management on various HR related matters.
- Act as the first point of contact on HR related inquiries and requests from employees and supervisors
- Provides day to day HR support, leadership and guidance on HR related matters and processes
- Proactively develop hiring initiatives for the company such as screening and assessment tools, trade schools, military, job fairs, resume banks, online resources, co-op programs
- Support Regional Workforce Managers and department supervisors in identifying workforce requirements
- Facilitate the full-cycle recruitment process to ensure the right candidates are selected and hired in an efficient and timely manner
- Establish and maintain orientation and on-boarding practices and communication tools. Obtain complete and accurate new hire information for all new employees
- Adhere to employment law and equal opportunity laws in order to exercise good judgment in recruiting activities
- Administer and ensure compliance with Corporate Drug and Alcohol/Substance Abuse programs
- Review and track performance management system. Coach managers & supervisors on performance evaluation best practices
- Responsible for the administration of company benefit and pension plans
- Work with Human Resources Director to develop and revise existing company’s policies and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Investigate, document, and collaboratively resolve employee relations issues by providing coaching and assistance to managers with support from the Human Resources Director
- Manage and drive HRIS system success (Ceridian Dayforce)
- Other related duties as assigned

- Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, DEI, employee relations, performance management, HR analytics, benefits administration and employment law
- A minimum 3-5 years of HR related work experience
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce considered an asset
- Previous work experience within a global HR department considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or other related field
- SHRM Designation is considered an asset, or willingness to obtain
