- Assist with human resource responsibilities to ensure all functions thereof are kept confidential and met in a timely, accurate manner.
- Assist with employee records, employee benefits, wage and salary administration, payroll, and safety and health of the human resource department.
- Assist in maintaining records of all applicants for positions posted within and outside the cooperative to provide for accurate EEOC and Affirmative Action records.
- Assist with maintaining employee records.
- Serve as back-up to Payroll & Benefits Specialist.
- Prepare benefit and other human resources information for distribution to employees.
- Assist in preparation for and participation in employee meetings to communicate group benefit changes, policies and procedures, and other information related to human resource functions of the cooperative.
- Reviews employee performance appraisals; checks for completed forms and documentation; ensures that immediate supervisors are adequately trained in conducting performance appraisals.
- Respond to employee inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Provide clerical duties as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in human resource functions, including employee benefits administration, wage and salary, and performance reviews, preferred.
- Experience in maintaining personnel records.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret applicable laws and regulations of the human resources functions.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and coordinate schedules.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality standards. Ability to review and monitor own work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Duties are performed in a typical office environment. Occasional overtime may be required.
Some travel to training events is expected, some of which could be overnight.
