HSER Technician

Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

We are currently looking for a HSER Technician to support our company’s field assets and operations team in Alberta and British Columbia. This position is based out of our Calgary office.

Reporting to the Director of Safety Operations the successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and implement HSER policies, procedures, and programs.

- Coordinate and deliver HSER training, onboarding, and awareness initiatives.

- Evaluate contractor and vendor HSER performance and ensure compliance with company standards.

- Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills, response planning, and incident follow-up.

- Maintain and organize HSER documentation, records, audits, and compliance reports.

- Track and analyze HSER metrics, KPIs, and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities.

- Assist in investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of safety culture and environmental performance across operations.

- Provide general HSER support to management and field teams as required.

Qualifications

- Five years of experience in oil and gas.

- Post secondary education is considered an asset.

- Competency in Microsoft Office.

- Positive energy, hard work ethic excellent communication skills.

- Thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
