Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator – Field/Office will be responsible for the implementation and administration of TOR’s policies/procedures to establish and promote safe, healthy and environmentally protective working conditions within the company.
The HSE Coordinator – Field/Office will be the resource to operations on all regulatory issues, compliance, training program development, and incident investigations pertaining to HSE in order to maintain an incident and injury free culture. This role includes the responsibility of being assigned to travel to the sites
This position is fulltime and is based out of our Central Alberta location.
Monday to Friday, 5 days on, 2 days off.You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.
Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures in alignment with local, provincial, and federal regulations
- Conduct routine safety inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Plan and deliver safety training programs, including emergency response exercises
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to determine root causes and implement preventative strategies
- Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, including incident reports, training records, and SDS
- Work collaboratively with leadership to review and enhance safety protocols
- Perform safety audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and ensure regulatory compliance
- Update Safety databases – ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, Avetta, etc., ensuring compliance with client safety requirements.
- Stay informed on evolving safety regulations and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is desirable.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a transportation setting.
- Knowledge with local, provincial, and federal safety regulations.
- Proficient in using safety management software and tools.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.

- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and first-aid techniques
