Position Overview
The Human Resources Assistant plays a crucial role within the Human Resources Department, providing administrative support and assisting with various HR functions. This position is responsible for helping with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records. The HR Assistant is critical in ensuring that the Human Resources Department runs smoothly and efficiently, thereby contributing to the overall success of the organization. This is an on-site, full-time position in Evans' Alpharetta, GA office.
Key Responsibilities
•Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews. Help coordinate onboarding activities for new employees.
•Maintain and update employee files and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Handle paperwork related to new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
•Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Provide employees with information and support regarding their benefits.
•Support the HR Department in answering employee questions.
•Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for audits and compliance checks.
•Use HRIS to manage employee information and assist in data entry and reporting. Provide technical support and training to employees on the use of HR-related systems.
•Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, copying, and answering phone calls. Schedule meetings and coordinate logistics for HR-related activities.
•Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
•A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience, preferred.
•Previous experience in an HR support role or administrative position is preferred.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
•A proactive and positive attitude.
•Ability to work well in a team and independently.
•Problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to changing priorities.
