Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for executing top level strategic priorities for the company. These priorities support exceptional commercial cleaning services, hospitality services, client relations, and customer service while maintaining an extremely high level of security consciousness. The Housekeeping Manager will possess an exceptional ability to provide a genuine customer service experience, with oversight on all assigned housekeeping tasks, ensuring leadership and guidance in operations, human resources, and client relations, while providing direct supervision to the housekeeping staff.
Key Accountabilities:
•Actively support and apply all company and facility policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of service is being provided to our customer.
•Plan, organize, and monitor staff workload to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards, which requires continuous visual and written inspections of guestrooms and public space areas.
•Ensure all channels of communication such as emails, Slack, calls and text, What’s App, and other forms of communication are responded to the same day during business hours or within two hours of next business day.
•Support the development and execution of labor standards, product supply inventories, labor budgets and checklists.
•Construct and orchestrate weekly inventory of guest supplies, equipment, chemicals, paper product, and cleaning supplies.
•Conduct weekly, formal quality audits and evaluate the facility’s performance in the areas of: sanitation, equipment preventative maintenance, unit cleanliness, uniforms, purchasing, inventories, safety, human resources compliance, and record keeping.
•Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs. Overtime is not allowed without approval and with detailed explanations.
•Support the hiring process: interview, hire, train, develop, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate of staff members.
•Meet formally with team weekly and communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
•Interact positively with client and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
•Ensure compliance of housekeeping and equipment standard operating procedures and policies.
•Operate department pursuant to OSHA requirements and Integrative Environmental Services, guidelines.
•Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
•Provide daily labor recaps and make necessary adjustments to improve operational performance.
Qualifications:
•2+ years of management experience.
•Able to work with other leaders, resolve guest, supervisor, and associate conflict.
•Must be willing to “jump in” and help co-workers with or without reasonable accommodation.
•Able to always manage multiple tasks and have excellent organizational skills.
•Knowledge of housekeeping business operations, including security and safety protocols, personal and labor relations, labor forecasting, inventory management, quality assurance programs, and proactive planning.
•Effective verbal, written, communication skills to associates on all levels.
•Ability to navigate technology, including property management and company systems.
