The Home Health Business Development Sales Manager is responsible for driving growth by generating referrals, establishing strategic partnerships, and developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory. This role involves identifying and cultivating relationships with physicians, hospitals, case managers, skilled nursing facilities, senior living communities, and other referral sources. The Sales Manager plays a key role in expanding the agency’s patient census and enhancing its reputation in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed monthly admission and revenue goals.
•Identify, target, and build relationships with key referral sources including physicians, discharge planners, hospital case managers, SNFs, ALFs, and community organizations.
•Conduct regular outreach visits, presentations, and in-services to educate stakeholders about the agency’s services.
•Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure high-quality patient care and seamless onboarding of new clients.
•Track referral activity and conversion metrics, providing regular reports to leadership.
•Monitor competitive landscape and identify emerging market trends to inform strategy.
•Attend industry networking events, conferences, and community activities to increase brand visibility.
•Maintain CRM records, ensuring timely documentation of all sales activity and referral outcomes.
•Provide exceptional customer service and act as a liaison between referral sources, clients, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
•Minimum 2–4 years of sales or business development experience in home health, hospice, senior care, or healthcare services.
•Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
•Strong network of healthcare professionals and referral sources (preferred).
•Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
•Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
