LineStar Utility Supply Inc. is a tool stores for the Power Utility marketplace. We recently opened a brand-new high voltage test laboratory in our Winnipeg branch, specializing in protective live line equipment. WHVTC is seeking applicants to work in our Winnipeg Branch. We are looking for an experienced, mechanically inclined and motivated leader with strong multi-tasking skills and high attention to detail. An electrical background would be beneficial but no required.
- Answer shipping phone/emails
- Receive all customer orders, including gloves
- Receive all company orders (stock)
- Ensure gloves are received properly and put through system daily
- Shipping of all customer orders and company orders
- Repair and reconditioning of protective live line equipment
- Electrical testing of protective live line equipment
- Aerial device (boom trucks) testing in the field
- Documentation of test results
- Assembly and testing of temporary protective ground cables
- Visual inspection and electrical testing of gloves, cover-up and blankets
- Maintenance of Procedure and Training Manuals
- Supervision of all service technicians, laborers, and shipping/receiving department
- Coaching and development of employees
- Training of new employees
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to company standard
- Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Communicate to customers regarding any additional work required on equipment (parts, labor, etc.)
- Taking ownership of ensuring our customers are satisfied with the quality and efficiency of our work
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Secondary education in electrical
- Leadership experience/training
- Class 5 Driver’s License (Non-GLD)
- Complete a criminal background check
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be able to life, push, pull and move items up to 25lbs
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organization skills
- Professional and positive attitude
- Ability to function calmly in a fast-paced environment handling multiple priorities
- Self-motivated
- Willing to learn new tasks, take training, employ what is learned, and teach others
- Ability to work and succeed without direct supervision, and be able to demonstrate excellent team work and leadership capabilities
