The High Be Shipping Coordinator will work closely with Production Planning, Operations, Quality, Sales, and other departments to effectively and efficiently package and ship material. This individual has the responsibility to perform the day-to-day tasks associated with picking, weighing, checking, packaging, and loading outgoing shipments of High Beryllium (Be) and Alloy Metal products along with the necessary SAP functions needed for material flow, shipping, and/or inventory transactions. Under the minimal guidance/direction of the Shipping & Receiving Manager, this individual is capable of safely performing the duties described below as a member of the department team. This detail-oriented person will complete solo job tasks many times during the shift.


You will have the opportunity to:

The ability to successfully process sales order products into deliveries utilizing SAP; this includes but is not limited to researching/solving/correcting discrepant data, internal communications, and/or systems errors that occur during these transactions.
Understand all relative material flow, SAP document flow, text notes and SAP screens so orders will be properly marked, packaged, and routed.
Monitor packaging inventory levels and request order fulfillment when needed.
Understand and manage ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) requirements, Export Compliance, filing AES (Automated Export System) submissions, and other regulations pertaining to product storage, labeling, and export shipping.
Successfully ship all modes of transportation but with special attention to small parcel, exports, and LTL (Less than Truck Load) shipments.
Work closely with all business units to ensure best in class customer service and communication for both internal and external customers. These internal customers include, but are not limited to Production, Production Planning, Quality, Engineering, Sales, Performance Solutions, and Finance.
Confirm product quantities, quality certifications, and shipping documents, against the Material Release/Orders to prevent possible discrepancies prior to shipping.
Will be required to obtain training for the following: RCRA, 49 CFR, IATA, IMDG, ICAO, AES, Export Compliance, and forklift operation.
Normally works inside. Nature of work involves exposure to inclement weather and temperature variations when opening overhead doors. Occasionally must work outdoors in all types of weather.
Must be detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle the pressure of meeting deadlines.
Is expected to use good judgment to make independent decisions within scope of authority.
Ingenuity and creative thinking may be required to deal with unusual loading/off loading, transportation or packing requirements. Some original thinking may be required to resolve personnel issues. Must have ability to perform several assignments simultaneously.
Develop a working knowledge of ShipERP and how ShipERP relates to SAP, small parcel process, BOL (Bill of Lading), export documentation, AES filings, and other shipping functions.
Follow established procedures and SOP’s for packaging outbound shipments. Use best judgement when packing product and make suggestions to ship with minimal damage.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or be a lawful Permanent Resident of the United States.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED

SAP experience (2 years preferred)
Shipping/receiving experience (preferred)
Experience with RCRA, 49 CFR, IATA, IMDG, ICAO, AES, Export Compliance (preferred)
Knowledge of Hazardous Material packaging, labeling, and shipping (preferred)
Knowledge of MS Office and Email Applications (preferred)
Must be able to effectively communicate through verbal and written communication
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.


The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
