These positions may be filled as a Helper-Line&Service Dept, or Apprentice 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidates.

The below description is reflective of a Journeyman Lineman, and the role's requirements, duties and responsibilities adjust according to the job level.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Under directive supervision, with some latitude for planning or laying out of working details, must be able to do the most complicated construction and maintenance work on dead or energized transmission and underground or overhead distribution conductors, structures and equipment, and be qualified to do the following and related work as assigned:

Helper:

+ No experience required. + Preferred: Lineman certification or equivalent education or experience. + Must meet all qualifications within 6 months after employment.

+ Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program OR prior demonstrated linework experience required.

+ 2+ years of demonstrated linework experience required. + Must have worked for at least 1 year and qualified as an Apprentice 1st Year, or have had equivalent experience in related work, having all qualifications of the previous classifications.

+ 3+ years of demonstrated linework experience required. + Must have worked for at least 1 year and qualified as a Apprentice 2nd Year, or have had equivalent experience in related work, having all qualifications of the previous classifications.

+ 4+ years of demonstrated linework experience required. + Must have worked for at least 1 year and qualified as a Apprentice 3rd Year, or have had equivalent experience in related work, having all qualifications of the previous classifications.
