Help Desk Specialist - Navy Reserve Pay Systems

Description: RISA is hiring Help Desk Specialists to support Tier I/II technical resolution for the Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) as used by Reserve personnel. Specialists will assist users with pay, personnel record, and system access issues, escalating as needed and maintaining detailed documentation.
Responsibilities:
•Provides support to end users on various Reserve Pay and Personnel issues.
•Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems, as well as responds to telephone calls, emails, and face-to-face requests regarding Reserve Pay and Personnel technical support.
•Documents, tracks, and monitors the Reserve Pay and Personnel problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Requirements:
•Minimum 5 years dealing with Reserve Pay and Personnel matters.
•System experience in the following: Benthic Golden 32, Business Objects Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS Web AdHoc), DJMS-RC, Officer Personnel Information System (OPINS), Inactive Manpower and Personnel Management Information System (IMAPMIS), Master Military Pay Account (MMPA), Navy Enlisted System / Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NES/NSIPS) Web, Reserve Headquarters System (RHS), and Remedy.
•Highly skilled in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to perform the work.
•Strong customer service and documentation skills
•Prior military, Reserve, or contractor experience strongly preferred
Work Environment
Professional Office Environment: Must be able to sit at a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time.
Physical Demands
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
•Must be able to communicate regularly via telephone and verbally present information to employees, customers, and outside vendors.
Expected Hours of Work
40 hours per week based on the customer's core operating hours.
