•Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services according to manufacturer guidelines.
•Complete in-field repairs during equipment breakdowns to minimize project downtime.
•Inspect equipment and trucks for potential issues, safety hazards, and compliance with DOT regulations.
•Work on Caterpillar, John Deere, Kenworth, Peterbilt, and other OEM machinery and vehicles.
•Maintain detailed service records, parts used, and repairs performed.
•Communicate repair status with supervisors and operators clearly and effectively.
•Keep tools and work area clean, organized, and in safe working condition.
•Assist in parts ordering and inventory tracking when necessary.
•Uphold company safety policies and follow OSHA regulations on all work performed.
Qualifications:
•Experience: 4+ years as a heavy equipment or diesel truck mechanic; pipeline, construction, or oilfield experience strongly preferred.
•Skills: Strong diagnostic skills, ability to read schematics and use diagnostic software (CAT ET, Cummins Insite, etc.).
•Tools/Equipment: Must have your own hand tools; specialty tools and diagnostic equipment provided as needed.
•Certifications: CDL is a plus; DOT inspection certification a bonus.
•Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 80+ lbs, crawl under/into equipment, and work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
•Work Style: Reliable, self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent repairs in the field.
What We Offer:
•Competitive pay based on experience with opportunities for overtime.
•Field per diem when applicable.
•Company Vehicle when applicable.
•Supportive work environment and opportunity to grow within the company.
•Access to training resources, certifications, and diagnostic tools.
•The chance to be part of a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and pride in performance.
