Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Technician located in Acheson, AB. The Heavy Equipment Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment used in the transmission of electricity. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment, diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance. Ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely is a key part of this role. Technicians must also maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

- Experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and machinery

- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Welding and fabrication skills are beneficial

- Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Strong communication and record-keeping skills

- Red Seal or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification is preferred

- Class 5 driver's license
