Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator I to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. This position is open to candidates who reside within 150 km of the McIlvenna Bay site or who can travel using our company shuttle from Saskatoon or Prince Albert. No additional travel subsidy is provided.

As part of the Site Services Team, the Heavy Equipment Operator I is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a range of heavy machinery to support mining and site operations. This includes tasks such as material handling, transportation, road maintenance, and general site support. The Heavy Equipment Operator I requires strong attention to safety, equipment care, and teamwork in a dynamic environment.
- Operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts, graders, compactors, dozers, and personnel buses in a safe and efficient manner
- Drive vehicles equipped with air brake systems including buses, dump trucks, and haul trucks, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and transport of materials to designated areas on-site or between facilities (Air Brake Endorsement A required)
- Safely transport personnel or materials using company buses when required
- Support road maintenance and snow removal activities to ensure safe access across site infrastructure
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with fueling, greasing, and other routine servicing of equipment as required
- Identify and report mechanical issues promptly to the maintenance department
- Maintain accurate records of equipment use, maintenance, and inspections
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Follow environmental procedures related to equipment operation, such as spill prevention and dust control
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks and meet deadlines
- Provide support during emergency response situations when required
- Assist with site cleanup, setup, or other duties as assigned- 7+ years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Certification or license to operate vehicles with air brake systems (Endorsement A).
- Skilled in the safe operation of equipment such as loaders, forklifts, dozers, and personnel buses.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with site teams and supervisors.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and complete routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: $38.10/hr with an additional 10% annual bonus
