Heavy Equipment Operator

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently performing cross-functional duties in safety, plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation. This is a full-time seasonal Non-union position.Essential Functions

This position operates 100% of the time in an outdoor surface aggregate granite quarry setting at Yellow Medicine Quarry located in Granite Falls, MN (southwest MN)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position that regularly requires Monday – Friday and some weekend work. Average work week is 55 to 60 hours per week March – November.Required Education and Experience
