Duties & Responsibilities
•Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, site regulations, and safety procedures.
•Conduct thorough pre- and post-shift inspections to assess equipment condition and ensure operational readiness.
•Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any deficiencies, abnormal sounds or odors, or indicators of mechanical issues.
•Adjust equipment operation based on ground conditions and material handling requirements.
•Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed to maintain equipment performance.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
•Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
•Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a mining environment is considered a strong asset.
•Ability to work 10-hour shifts, rotating days and nights.
This position currently follows a 21-day shift rotation working 10-hour day and night shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. The shift rotation is 7 days, 4 off, 5 nights, 5 off.
The Estevan Mine is located approximately 12 km from the city of Estevan and 16 km from the town of Bienfait. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own accommodations and transportation.
