Overview

Pronto is looking for an experienced heavy machine operator for our team. This role requires a proactive approach to problem solving. The right candidate has good experience with various areas in civil construction (residential & commercial) and a knack for communicating with both operators and customers.

Responsibilities

•

Proficiently operate various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, and skid steers.

•

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.

•

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

•

Assist with general construction tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

•

Proficient in operating excavators and dozers (3+ years experience a must).

•

Experience in underground utilities including storm and civil site work a plus.

•

Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

•

Ability to read and interpret blueprints or construction plans.

•

Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

•

Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy machinery and assist in job site duties.

•

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

•

Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.

Who are we looking for? Qualifications:

•

Strength of character.

•

Your education doesn’t matter. You must be coachable and competent.

•

You must be able to demonstrate strong experience in the civil construction field with heavy machinery.

•

You gotta be able to drive, legally.

•

You must have your own transportation to be able to get to work sites all around the greater Houston area.

•

Ability to pass drug and background screening.

•

Strong English skills are required.

•

Spanish is strongly preferred.

•

A Commercial Drivers License is strongly preferred.

•

It’s the construction industry. You gotta be able to work in all weather conditions, lift, climb around on machines, and deal with foolishness tactfully.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
