Position Description:

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment. This role requires a TWIC card (or ability to obtain one), OSHA certification, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect and diagnose: Identify problems using computerized tools and equipment manuals.

2. Repair and maintain: Fix or replace defective parts, perform routine maintenance, and test equipment.

3. Troubleshoot: Use hand tools, power tools, and technical manuals to resolve issues.

4. Record-keeping: Maintain equipment repair logs and documentation.

5. Travel: Visit worksites to repair heavy equipment as needed.

Requirements:

1. TWIC card: Must have a valid TWIC card or be able to obtain one.

2. OSHA certification: Hold a valid OSHA card.

3. Background check: Pass a background check.

4. Drug screen: Pass a drug screen.

5. Experience: Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
