Your Role at Conuma

At Conuma, every team member plays a critical role in our success. We’re seeking skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians to keep our operations running efficiently and safely.

What You’ll Do:

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair

mobile mining equipment, including

shovels, drills, haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators

.

- Perform

field diagnostics and running repairs

to minimize downtime during equipment breakdowns.

- Conduct

scheduled maintenance and inspections

to proactively prevent and address mechanical issues.

- Keep things organized with

accurate, detailed records

of diagnostics, repairs, and parts usage.

- Adhere to all

safety protocols

, ensuring every task is performed with safety in mind.

- Provide

mentorship to apprentices

and collaborate with team members.

We’re looking for skilled professionals who bring:

- Red Seal Certification

as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (preferred).

- 3-5 years of experience

with mobile mining equipment in industrial environments.

- Technical expertise

in hydraulic and electrical systems, and familiarity using OEM tools such as Caterpillar SIS for diagnostics and parts management.

- A valid driver’s license

and experience driving in various weather conditions.

- The ability to work

12-hour shifts

(7x7 or 14x14), including days and nights, and meet physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights.

- A strong commitment to

Q: I don’t have a Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician. Can I still apply?

A:

Yes, we welcome applicants with equivalent trade certifications, qualifications, or experience. This includes Heavy Equipment Technicians, Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics (Off Road), Heavy Equipment Truck & Transport Technicians, and 4th Year Apprentices in related trades. Uncertified individuals with extensive practical experience in the trade who meet the criteria to challenge certification as a Trade Qualifier may also be considered.

Q: Does this position offer camp accommodations?
