Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year (Based on experience)

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Civil Assistant Project Manager to join our team and oversee the execution of complex civil construction projects.
Job Description:
As a Heavy Civil Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of our heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure work. You will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and government agencies to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist Project Manager in managing multiple heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
•Assist Project Manager with coordinating the work of project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
•Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
•Assist Project Manager with managing project budgets and ensure cost control measures are in place.
•Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to provide project updates.
•Resolve conflicts and issues that may arise during the construction process.
•Monitor project performance and make adjustments as needed to stay on track.
•Ensure proper documentation and reporting for each project phase.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
•Minimum of 1+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
•Proven experience in managing infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, and utilities.
•Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and budgeting.
•Ability to lead and motivate a diverse project team.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
•Proficient in project management software (e.g., HeavyJob, Primavera).
•Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) experience is preferred.
