Heating Oil Delivery Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Heating Oil and Diesel fuels to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, vehicle operation, and adherence to safety regulations. The Delivery Driver will operate various types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.

Duties

- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including but not limited to tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks.

- Load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring the integrity of the cargo.

- Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.

- Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during deliveries.

- Assist in training new drivers on proper delivery procedures and vehicle operation when necessary.

Requirements:

As an Oil Delivery Driver you will use your navigation and safety skills to successfully deliver home heating oil to our customers. You will need to be detail-oriented as well as focused with a flexible and adaptable nature.

Specific qualifications include:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Valid CDL Class A or B driver's license with Tank & HazMat endorsements

Ability to meet the company's motor vehicle policy

TWIC card a plus

Ability to meet all DOT requirements including road test and drug screen

Must be reliable, diligent, dependable

Ability to effectively utilize maps, locate addresses

Oil delivery experience a plus

Possible nights, weekend work; potential overtime

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
