The Machine Operator I position is an entry-level role focused on operating basic manufacturing machinery under direct supervision. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that machines run smoothly, products meet quality standards, and safety protocols are followed.
- Operate Basic Machinery: Start, stop, and monitor machines during production processes, ensuring they function correctly and safely.
- Material Handling: Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products, ensuring accurate quantities and quality.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform basic machine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubrication to keep equipment in good working order.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and report any issues to supervisors for resolution.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Adhere to a production rate of 80% or greater.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Basic understanding of how to properly tear down a machine for preventative maintenance and change outs.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively in a team.
