Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in working with various types of heavy equipment and heavy duty vehicles. This role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance. The Technician will play a vital role in supporting our operations and ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

•

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including loaders, graders, excavators, rock trucks and heavy duty trucks.

•

Troubleshoot electrical issues and mechanical failures to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

•

Operate forklifts and cranes safely while moving materials and equipment as needed.

•

Conduct inspections on machinery to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.

•

Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance overall efficiency within the facility.

•

Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory of parts used.

•

Assist in training new staff members on equipment operation and safety protocols.

•

Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

•

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies and repair techniques.

•

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

•

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment.

•

Completion of a recognized heavy-duty mechanic red seal certification.

•

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

•

Ability to reach and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

•

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

•

Valid and clean drivers license.

•

Excellent attention to safety practices.

•

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
