Position: Haul Truck Driver – Surface Mining & Crushing Operations Location: La Sal, Utah (approximately 45 minutes southeast of Moab, UT) Department: Mine Operations Reports To: Mine Shift Supervisor
Job Summary:
Lisbon Valley Mining Company is seeking experienced Haul Truck Drivers to support our surface mining and heap leach operations in La Sal, Utah. This position involves operating large-capacity haul trucks such as the Caterpillar 777, Komatsu 785, or equivalent, and supporting the operation of an 800 TPH crush/screen plant. Candidates must have prior experience operating haul trucks in a mining environment.
Essential Functions:
•
Operate large off-road haul trucks to transport material from pit to crusher, stockpile, or leach pad.
•
Work closely with excavator operators and plant personnel to ensure efficient material flow.
•
Support daily operations of an 800 TPH crush/screen plant as needed.
•
Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections and complete required documentation.
•
Maintain safe working conditions and follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
•
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate operations.
•
Assist with general labor and equipment maintenance as required.
Requirements:
•
MSHA Surface Metal and Non-Metal Miner Training preferred.
•
Ability to work 12-hour shifts in extreme weather conditions.
•
Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing manual labor as needed.
•
Willingness to work holidays, overtime, and be on-call as required.
•
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
