Hardware Engineer

- This position is responsible for the entry level design, integration and documentation of Plant Process Computer Systems used in nuclear power plants.

- This position assists principle engineer in the area of design, document ation , assist ing with build s , test ing and debug of system hardware acquisition equipment designs to ensure customer requirements are met.

- This position includes assisting with design of custom adapters/cabling and interfaces to transition existing plant equipment to new state of the art computer equipment.

- The position also includes assisting with c abinet layout and design incorporated with needed power distribution, network distribution, network equipment, data acquisition equipment a nd servers which are the primary design components.

- The position also includes prepar ation of documentation required by the customer to maintain the system after delivery.

Your Day to Day

- Performs review of hardware design , review in the area of system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design.

- Perform review of data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs

- Learning and understanding of c omponent selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables

- Participate in the set-up, system modification and system integration and testing, and delivery of our Projects

- Understand and implement the quality standards applicable to nuclear safety systems

- Willing to travel and work with local customers

Who Are You

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineer ing with applicable years’ experience in drawing review and design .

- Minimum 0 -2 year s of applicable experience required.

- Data acquisition hardware and software

- Entry level k nowledge of circuit designs to support custom cables and interfaces

- Entry level k nowledge of Data Acquisition systems consisting of Servers, workstations, controllers, I/O modules or boards.

- Experience with ACAD, 3D modeling

- Drawing creation and review

Preferred (not Required)

- Experience with Cisco switches

- Experience with RTP data acquisition systems

- Experience with Servers and workstations
