Guide / Caretaker- Stony Island, NY

The Guide / Caretaker will report to the Stony Island Managers and golf course superintendent. Job Hourly Pay: $30.64

Responsibilities May Include:

Assist with maintenance of the 9-hole golf course.

Maintenance of grounds, vessels, facilities, and equipment.

Safe transport of staff, guests, and supplies to and from the Island by boat. (approx. 10-mile boat ride).

Guiding guests and dogs, in a safe professional manner. (approximately 10 miles of walking per day for ten weeks.)

Staying overnight for maintenance and security purposes.

Required Qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

High school diploma

Good communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills

Working knowledge of vessels, trolling equipment, and firearms

Ability to provide Professional, Courteous guest services

Preferred Qualifications:

5 plus years working on vessels in the Eastern Basin of Lake Ontario

OUPV 6 Passenger License

Ability to work independently performing job functions without extensive supervision

Proficiency with Outlook, and basic communications devices
