About This Job
JOB SUMMARY
The Guard Shack Attendant is responsible for maintaining security and controlling access to the mine site. This position will be located at the Eagle Butte Mine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•
Able to meet the physical demands of the position according to the physical demands analysis
•
Maintain a log of all incoming and outgoing traffic, including the time of entry/exit, vehicle information, and purpose of visit.
•
Record daily security activities, including observations, irregularities, and violations of security policies.
•
Communicate with supervisors regarding any security concerns or issues that arise during shifts.
•
Enforce safety rules and protocols as per company and regulatory standards.
•
Greet and assist visitors, truck drivers, and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
•
Provide directions, instructions, and information as necessary to personnel and visitors.
•
Handle inquiries related to facility entry or exit requirements.
•
Perform clerical duties as requested.
•
Assist in emergency response actions, such as calling law enforcement, fire department, or other emergency services as needed.
•
Communicate regularly with management, security personnel, and other departments to ensure smooth and safe operations.
•
Assist with coordinating deliveries and pickups by communicating with the warehouse or production teams.
•
Train and support co-workers as needed.
•
Look for and implement continuous improvement.
•
Develop relationships with peers conducive to superior performance.
•
Perform other assignments or projects as assigned.
•
Maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues.
•
Maintain cleanliness in and outside of the guard shack.
•
Remove snow, lay down ice melt, etc. as needed.
•
Regular and predictable attendance.
•
Comply with Company drug and alcohol policy
