Position Objective:
This position will champion new and innovative approaches to business process improvements under limited guidance. It will provide functional support, problem identification, and recommend improvements of functions, processes, and procedures related to projects and initiatives. The position links the business unit operations to the GES/ITS groups for business process improvements
Job Duties:
- Independently lead sub-projects in support of larger, more complex projects or programs as directed by more senior team members.
- Collect and validate data from various sources, primarily one or two enterprise applications, to monitor business performance and process adoption
- Work with multiple departments across an organization to resolve problems and implement process improvements. Broad understanding of business processes and technical skills are required to select appropriate standards. This position will provide ideas and recommendations that contribute to the overall success of GTC business process management.
- Identify areas of process improvement and provide functional process support within GTC (e.g. Export Controls, Import Management, Classification, Free Trade Agreements); guide and support departmental SMEs in implementing, monitoring and measuring improvements.
- In addition to assigned GTC business process management responsibilities, identify and support projects that may include collaboration with several other work groups or organizations.
- Create, maintain, and deliver reference and training materials.

Principal Accountabilities:
The Sr. GTC Business Process Analyst position is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of assignments for the following major functions:
- Elicit business requirements
- Execute business process performance analytics
- Perform as a Solution Architect
- Gather, document and maintain business procedures, documentation and guidelines
- Create documentation, procedures and training materials for business unit personnel to be fully effective in both existing and future systems and applications
- Provide support for business process issue resolution and corrective action planning and execution.
- Support development of data models and conversion strategies
- Develop test scenarios, conduct testing as required by new content
Knowledge/skill requirements for this position include
:
- Understanding of business process performance analytics
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint,
- MS Project, Visio, Azure Dev Ops, Power BI are preferred.
- Knowledge of Trade Compliance systems desired
- Working understanding of trade compliance regulations preferred
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written preferred
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships within the department across functional SME personnel and internal customers (e.g. customer facing units, project management, and supply chain).
- Spanish language knowledge a plus
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 5-to-7-year experience in a related field is preferred. Finance and Accounting classes are beneficial.

Summary Pay Range:
$125,925.00 - $188,887.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
