Position Title: Hand Tool Grinder

Department: Finishing

Reporting Relationship: Department manager/Team leader

Wage Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Hand Tool Grinder position is responsible for grinding castings with the correct hand tool and per specification.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Read and follow instructions.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred.

- Able to multi-task.

Physical Demands:

- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently.

- Must be able to reach and lift objects above the shoulder.

- Must be able to climb a ladder on an occasional basis.

- Must be able to reach, bend at waist, stretch, stoop, kneel or squat to place and retrieve items.

- Walking or standing frequently and for long periods of time.

- This position works mostly indoors.

- Must be able to work in an environment that may be extremely loud at times.

- Must be able to work in an environment that can be extremely hot or cold for long periods of time.

- Must be able to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as required for the position.

Job Type: Full-time
