Reporting to the Trucking Supervisor, the Gravel Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of gravel trucks for transporting and delivering gravel to construction and work sites.
How You’ll Add Value
•Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
•Communicate on work plans with a supervisor to ensure safe and efficient movement of gravel
•Drive to and from project sites, following designated routes and safety protocols
•Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, and other fluids through thorough pre- and post-trip inspections
•Ensure gravel and materials are properly loaded and secured to prevent shifting or spillage during transport
•Verify accuracy of loading and delivery documents to ensure correct delivery
•Perform regular maintenance tasks such as weekly truck greasing to extend vehicle life and reduce breakdowns
•Communicate daily trucking requirements and job orders with the Trucking Supervisor to ensure smooth operations
•Coordinate with customers and supervisors to resolve issues, clarify instructions, or request additional support
What You'll Bring
•Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
•5+ years of relevant experience in the trucking or gravel hauling industry is preferred
•Physically able to safely lift and carry 40 lbs regularly
•Willing to travel and work out of town for short, fixed-term periods, as needed
