Job Overview
The Grade 4 - 8 Spanish Teacher at Saint Agatha School will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Spanish for Grades 4 - 8. The ideal candidate will foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment that encourages students to explore and excel in the subject. This position is anticipated for SY 2025-2026, depending on enrollment levels.
- Implement a comprehensive Spanish curriculum for grades 4-8 that aligns with state and national standards.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities and real-world applications.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure academic growth.
- Utilize data-driven instruction to tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Spanish language across the curriculum through project based learning.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and positive interactions.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Spanish language education.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification or license preferred.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom environment.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools in the Elementary and Middle School Educational space.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues daily.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
