The Position: Golf – Golf Attendant
Part time position- 24-28 hours
Starting Salary - $13.00 per hour Pay Grade 1

General Purpose:
•The golf attendant acts as a conduit between Pro Shop and customer. He/she is responsible for PaceofPlay, starting customers on the correct tee and time, and being an ambassador of Barefoot Bay Golf.
Key Responsibilities:
•Must maintain a happy, friendly, smiling disposition.
•Effectively communicate with pro shop staff to attain customer golf needs.
•Enforce club rules in a friendly, helpful manner.
•Prepares cart fleet for play.
•Controls cart fleet throughout the day
•Cleans and secures cart fleet for closing.
•Performs periodic maintenance on golf cart fleet to keep up recommended monthly, semiannual, and annual service requirements; Inspect golf carts for safety and appearance.
•Watch for and report to your supervisor any and all unsafe practice or situations.
•Keep track of all golfers on the course and nicely enforce PaceofPlay policy
•Keep all work areas clean and tidy.
•Pick up driving range balls.
•Must follow Barefoot Bay procedures in the event of severe weather, such as thunderstorms.
Peripheral duties:
•May serve as a member of various employee committees.
Desired minimum qualifications:
Education and Experience:
•Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
•Must have a thorough knowledge of golf etiquette.
•Must have a command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
•Must be able to liftup to 50 pounds.
•Must be able to drive a golf cart, clean golf carts, and park golf carts in line.

Barefoot Bay The largest unincorporated, deed-restricted manufactured home community and recreation district, located in southern Brevard County, Florida. The population reported from the 2010 United States Census was 9,808. The nearest commercial area is Sebastian, FL, located in Indian River County. History of Barefoot Bay Barefoot Bay began as an idea for a recreational vehicle vacation resort for those looking to escape the colder weather up north or just looking for a great place to relax. In 1968, the Gulf Acceptance Corporation, purchased the original one thousand acres that would become known as Barefoot Bay. With that, the vision for a Polynesian themed recreation community had begun. The beautiful Polynesian style clubhouse opened its doors in June of 1971. It would host up to 500 people and include a full kitchen.
