Position: Underground Survey Technician (Levels 3-4)

Our team is growing, and we are seeking Underground Survey Technicians (Levels 3-4) to support underground surveying operations at an intermediate level. This role involves greater independence in survey tasks, managing daily workloads, and contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of underground mining operations. The successful candidate will operate advanced surveying equipment, process survey data, and collaborate closely with operations and engineering teams.

Responsibilities
• Independently manage survey workloads and operate robotic total stations for development and production tasks.
• Perform heading measurements, markups, and set out longhole ring targets.
• Conduct underground survey tasks such as primary and secondary control traverses, drill collar pickups, and paste hole markups.
• Utilize and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, lasers, CMS scanners, C-ALS scanners, and drones.
• Process and analyze survey data using Deswik CAD, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
• Assist in the installation and advancement of survey control networks.
• Perform void scans using CMS, drone, and laser scanning technologies.
• Communicate with operations and engineering teams, providing detailed reports and updates.
• Ensure all survey activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Mentor and support junior Survey Technicians in their development.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in underground surveying with proficiency in survey instruments and data processing software.
• Strong understanding of underground survey methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple survey tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Deswik CAD.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work in physically demanding underground environments.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
