The Global Materials Analyst is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of materials and inventory across multiple international locations. This role ensures timely and cost-effective procurement, shipment, and distribution of materials to meet production and business requirements globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, international supply chain coordination, and logistics.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coordinate global material movement and inventory levels to support production and project schedules.
•Optimize MTS/CTO stocking program inventory levels, to improve return on investment from inventory, turns, customer service levels, and working capital.
•Monitor material requirements planning (MRP) systems and align inventory forecasts with global demand.
•Analyze complex material requirements and forecast demand based on production schedules, sales trends, and historical usage.
•Track and resolve issues related to material shortages, delays, or quality concerns across all regions.
•Collaborate with cross-functional efforts to improve material flow, reduce inventory waste, and optimize supply chain performance.
•Drive continuous improvement projects focused on material cost reduction and efficiency.
•Prepare and analyze regular reports on inventory performance and materials availability.
•Develop forecasted inventory based on sales input outside of the MTS/CTO program and maintain forecast accuracy and guidelines for the same.
•Coordinate with Sales and Operations planning to ensure appropriate inventory to support current forecasted business and projected growth; gain consensus from Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to respond to current and expanding markets.
•Partner with commercial and site Materials Managers to repurpose, reposition, substitute, fire sale or discard obsolete, excess, and surplus inventory.
•Provide quality service by following organization standards.
•Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
•Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
•APICS certified or must have willingness to complete within first year in role.
•5+ years of experience in materials coordination or global supply chain operations.
•Familiarization with manufacturing and service environment.
•Experience planning in an Engineered-to-Order or Make-to-Order manufacturing environment preferred.
•Experience with ERP Planning preferred. (JDE experience preferred, but other ERP experience will be considered).
•Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems; especially proficient in the use of Excel.
•Familiar with DDMRP methodology.
