Iron Lion Entries is seeking an experienced Glazier/Glass Installer to perform installation and repair work on our building projects. Experience with wet glazing systems and metal trim work is required. Applicants should have relevant job experience with installation, inspections, and maintenance of residential or commercial glazing. Skills in carpentry, and painting is advantageous. The ideal candidate must be able to work well with minimal supervision. You also need to be able to travel to different service sites.
● Remove and install insulated glass units for residential and commercial customers, using silicone structural adhesive
● Cut aluminum glazing beads at various angles to provide a seamless
● Travel to various service locations as needed
● Service and troubleshoot glazing panels and systems
● Prepare for and complete scopes of work, closely following job specifications, code requirements, and safety standards
● Photograph job site conditions and document daily work activity and completion
● Maintain inventory of tools and equipment in your care and ensure they are in working order at all times
● Communicate with customers, schedulers, and supervisors on status of jobs and relay any issues or concerns in order to conduct top notch customer service
● Thoroughly inspect job materials, ensuring the product(s) are the correct size & style, and that there is no obvious product damage or flaws on product(s) required to complete job(s)
● Load required job materials to installation vehicle(s), including redundant materials, tools, job folder/paperwork, safety equipment etc…
● Upon arrival at the customer's home, validate the work to be completed, the product(s) to be installed, installation location(s), and the estimated time it will take to complete the job, and customer expectations, and manage those expectations accordingly.
● Take care of the customer's home/business, ensuring we leave it cleaner than when we found it... use booties, etc..
● High school diploma or GED certificate, training through an apprenticeship or job
● Certification through The National Glass Association a plus
● The ability to cleanly apply caulk, adhesives, or putty to doors, glass areas, and window sashes
● The ability to use miter saws and angle grinders to make accurately cut and shape aluminum glazing beads
● 5 years experience with residential glass replacement including single/double pane window glass, shower enclosures, skylights, etc..
● Prior experience with commercial store-fronts, panels, and windows is a plus
● Knowledge of glass types and the different materials required for glass repair and installation is a plus
● The ability to use glazier hand tools and equipment to measure, cut, and shape various materials for repair or maintenance
● An understanding of company safety protocols and the ability to adhere to these standards
