Typical starting salary range: $46,000-$60,000

We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Works in GIS and database applications which model electric transmission systems. Requires understanding of functional business processes as they relate to design, construction, and operations, and a working understanding of data attributes that support those business processes. Requires the ability to create a connected model that replicates the electric transmission system. This system is the backbone for Dominion Energy, including Outage Management, Forestry, Environmental, Asset Management, Surveying, Permitting, Right of Way Management, Project Management, Maintenance, Switching and Safety. Performs and manages QA/QC processes. Must be available to work emergency and planned overtime.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Education Requirements

Associate Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education

Preferred Disciplines: Computer Science, Drafting and Design, Engineering Technology, Geography

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Preferred: Certificate of Proficiency in GIS from a training center, technical college or university.
