The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a
Geophysics Co-op Student (4-16 Months, starting in January 2026 or May 2026)to join our
Exploration & Mineral Projectsteam in Sudbury.
As a
Geophysics Co-op Studentyou will work closely with exploration geophysics and geology team members to support geophysical field work, data compilation, data processing, and data interpretation related to active exploration programs. You will gain experience with major deposit styles, contributing to high-impact projects.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Attend and participate in regular safety line up meetings, monthly safety meetings, and required safety training.
- Assist in the planning and execution of geophysical field work.
- Collect and compile geophysical data during office studies and field surveys; organize and conduct further routine geophysics data processing as warranted and monitor the progress of such work with respect to schedules.
- Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of geophysical survey databases and GIS projects.
- Assist more senior personnel in carrying out technical tasks requiring adherence to prescribed and accepted geophysical procedures.
- Prepare written, oral, or graphical reports and presentations summarizing and communicating results, observations and any recommendations for follow-up.
- Identify, analyze and recommend opportunities for safety, productivity and cost improvements.
- Current schedule is 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (excluding recognized holidays).
- Currently enrolled in a Geology, Geophysics or Geological Engineering undergraduate co-op program.
- Must be physically capable of participating in field programs.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products; Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with geophysical software is a bonus but not a requirement
- Programming experience is a bonus but not a requirement
