Field Technician (Adventure Seekers Wanted)

We’re looking for dedicated and adventurous individuals to help us deliver high-quality geophysical data in mineral exploration, groundwater investigations, geothermal, and oil/gas exploration projects. As a vital member of our team, you will contribute to exciting and impactful work, all while embracing the adventure of working in diverse, rugged terrains. This position would be a good fit for someone who enjoys the outdoors and someone who has experience in outdoor work during different seasons.

Responsibilities of the position include:
•Travel out-of-town 90% of the time for fieldwork (lodging and per diem provided)
•Work 60-70 hours a week, with 14-20 days per deployment and breaks between assignments
•Hike and navigate rugged terrain, working outdoors in all weather conditions
•Set up and lay out equipment for electrical and electromagnetic surveys
•Handle and transport heavy equipment such as saltwater and metal stakes to build electrodes
•Plant and maintain sensors to measure electric and magnetic fields
•Work independently and collaborate with teams of 4-10 crew members
•Maintain and troubleshoot field equipment to ensure smooth operations
•Focus on safety and contribute to a positive team dynamic
•Keep detailed field notes and follow project specifications
Requirements:
•Ability to lift 75+ lbs and carry atleast 50 lbs over extended periods
•Strong work ethic and willingness to work in diverse conditions
•Must be willing to travel and work in remote field locations
Preferred Skills:
•Mechanical troubleshooting experience
•Previous outdoor work experience or familiarity with outdoor environments
•Ability to read and navigate using topographic maps and GPS systems
•ATV/UTV and off-road/4wd experience is a plus
•Experience with backing trailers and operating large equipment (e.g., geophysical transmitters)
•Communication skills, especially in coordinating with team members via radio
•Basic knowledge of electronics and multimeter use
•Strong attention to detail in recording field data
